1. This web site is owned by Michael Summers, a UK resident. It is operated by Michael Summers in collaboration with JBinc.co.uk.
2. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By registering as a member or using these services you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions. If you do not accept them in full, you must not register as a member or use this site.
3. As a consumer your statutory rights are not affected by this agreement.
4. You are not eligible and must not apply to become a member if you are less than 18 years of age.
5. We reserve the right to refuse any application for membership. You are not a full member until you receive email confirmation from us.
6. We may de-activate accounts of members who have not used the service for a long time.
7. UK Jazz Place does not have a contractual obligation nor the technical means to verify members who use our services.
8. UK Jazz Place will not give your contact details to other parties without your express authorisation. Normally, your email address will only be viewable by members who have paid a subscription or have equivalent or superior membership, and you can prevent paying members from viewing these contact details if you wish. All members and users will be able to send you email messages through the system, even when your email address is not visible.
9. At present, telephone numbers have been unlocked and will be fully visible to all other members. UK Jazz Place take no responsibility for any damages incurred due to misuse of telephone numbers logged on this website. We also reserve the right to filter access to telephone numbers to certain members at any point in the future.
10. UK Jazz Place is not liable if your identity is used by someone else.
11. You must notify us immediately if there is a breach of security.
12. You may not put contact information in any part of your profile except where it is requested.
13. You may not copy or otherwise use any member content except in so far as is strictly necessary for your own private use.
14. We reserve the right to suspend the service at any time for repairs, maintenance or improvement.
15. We reserve the right to change the Services, provided that such changes do not have a material adverse effect on the quality of the Service. While some features of the Service are currently available free of charge, we do not promise to maintain any particular feature of the Service for the use of non-paying members.
16. You may at any time terminate your registration (account) with us (no matter whether or not you are a paying member) by requesting closure of your account in the designated part of the site. A request for termination under this clause does not give rise to any refund.
17. Without any prejudice to any other provision in this agreement (including any right of ours to claim damages) we may at any time suspend or terminate your registration immediately, and without notice or refund, if in our reasonable opinion:
    • You have committed a serious breach of this agreement; or
    • Any member content published or sent by you or your confirmed registration is damaging or potentially damaging to our business or to other users.
18. We will notify you by email of any suspension/termination of your registration related to Clause 16. Following such notification, you must not attempt to re-register as a member or use our Services except where we notify you that suspension is lifted.
19. You agree to indemnify us against all third party claims and liabilities relating to your breach of this agreement, and or to your use of the Services.
20. This agreement shall be governed by English law and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
